Sigh

Slowly, breathe in,
fill your lungs,
feed your hungry heart,
with air and aches unseen as
God alone.

(Hold it, hidden,
still for a second.
Feel the tension
between the already and
the not-yet.)

Suddenly release
the silent stirring
prayer to God
who hears and sees and knows and is
your life in your breath.
